60th International Art Exhibition, 2024, Venice: Taiwan Collateral Event.

During the various editions of the Biennale, Taiwan has always brought projects that involve the visitor by delving into the most disparate human and social themes.

In the historic headquarters that has become over the years for Taiwan, Palazzo delle Prigioni, (after the Ponte della Paglia coming from Piazza San Marco) an exhibition of the artist Yuan Goang-Ming was conceived within a path among kinetic installations, photographs, sketches and videos.

The space, dark and domestic, aims to bring to attention social trends or sensations such as the passivity of the spectator, but also the uncertainty of losing a potentially safe place that characterizes one’s life. Themes such as tomorrow, dear things, existence, displacement, orders and disorders, belonging but ultimately not belonging move through creations designed for the exhibition project.

Yuan Goang-Ming in everyday conflicts, Everyday War, highlights the hardships and states of existence that characterize contemporary society.

The Collateral Event, Yuan Goang-Ming: Everyday War, at the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, is ready to open to the public from 20 April until 24 November 2024 along with a series of events.
