Dior Haute Couture Fall Winter 2024-25 is born from a tribute but also an approach that unites Maria Grazia Chiuri with the recent artist died in Spring 2024 Faith Ringgold: the female empowerment.

The scenography of the show presents paintings of some of Ringgold’s most emblematic masterpieces accompanying the 61 looks of the show in a unique and unrepeatable tribute.

The use of jersey as a metal mesh in gold, silver and white, which caresses the silhouette and embraces its shape, with the help of an ultralight inner bustier structuring the outfits, represents in Haute Couture the hard-won political freedom for women’s bodies and equality.

The collection indicates a couture and sportswear approach, also recalling the Paris 2024 Olympics, as in a sports jersey adorned with gold leaves or micro sequins.

On this theme, drapes, embroidery, pleats sewn or left open for the movement of the body, a white or black belt, a vest, a dress in the style of a revitalised Olympic costume, a wraparound shawl with gold decorations, a black ribbon falling from the left hip for connections between antiquity and the contemporary, are found throughout the various looks.
