Chanel Cruise 2024 – 25 involves two cities in six months from May to November 2024, Marseille and Hong Kong, from the first to the replica for the last collection signed by the former creative director Virginie Viard who ended her thirty-year working relationship with the Maison in June.

Looking again at the collection in the various looks the common thread is the sea as the presence of diving hoods, embroideries that include shells, molluscs, fishing nets and fish in love present in vests, T-shirts, little vest tops, tailored blouses, dresses and tailored jackets.
Continuing we saw the use of press studs, neoprene sweaters, tweed and sequined jackets and the revisitation of the sweatshirt with a chiffon model with a fish print. In a concept of movement tweed cycling shorts, racing Bermuda shorts finished with embroidered braid and oversized jackets. In a layering approach, shirt collars, jackets and French cuffs are worn over or under jackets and dresses.
Among the various looks, skirts in honeycomb fabric, bodices and petticoats in ivory lace and patchwork of broderie anglaise and the little black dress revisited with the jersey bustier with shoulder straps and the top of a swimsuit embroidered with small flowers.
In Hong Kong, Chanel continues its connection with China by establishing commercial bridges but also creative developments. The replica of the Cruise 2024 – 25 collection must also be read within this approach in style, fashion and glamour.
